Spud’s Thoughts:

One of my first pivotal experiences in life was when I traveled abroad for a summer – fr0m Tanzania to Australia – volunteering at various groups. During those few months, I realized that there are lots of different ways to ‘volunteer’ abroad and it’s important to make sure you are engaging in the experience for the right reason. When done in a meaningful and beneficial way for both groups, then I think it can be a powerful taste of how you might envision yourself in the future contributing your skills/interests to create tangible change in the world.
